Flamenca's Dream Farm
Come and see where fantasy and reality meet at Flamenca's Dream Farm. Flamenca de la Parra was our beautiful Andalusian mare. Her first baby was accidentally aborted after being given a vaccination ... we waited patiently for her next foal. Felicia arrived in 1995 on the wings of much prayer from family and friends. Again, disappointment ruled when she severed her tendon on a hinge in the round pen. The cast on her leg cut the circulation off in her foot and I was told by numerous people and vets that I would have to put her to sleep. Instead, we prayed and prayed that she would recover and against all odds, the hoof below her coronet band miraculously grew. Felicia has only had one baby to date, Fabio III, an exquisite Andalusian/Lusitano IALHA SP black bay stallion who is now standing at our farm in Mart, Texas, just outside of Waco.
We are breeding him to our lovely thoroughbreds to produce Iberian warmbloods for the serious sport horse owner. Flamenca de la Parra passed away giving birth. We lost her and her baby in the light of a cool indifferent moon and it is in her memory that Flamenca's Dream Farm lives on.
